  1. Readme for MusicManIII V3.00 Beta2 (c)1991-1996 Andreas Mair

  4. This is only a BETA release of MusicManIII.
  5. Currently there is only unformated (pre-released) documentation
  6. and no online help available.
  7. Only german and english program (via locale.library) and
  8. documentation available. If anyone wants to build catalogs
  9. for not included languages please contact me to get more infor-
  10. mation about this. Note: Everyone translating the catalog AND
  11. documentation to an unincluded language get registration for FREE!
  12. Not all requesters are implemented yet:
  13.   - Project/Create MC
  14.   - Project/Export
  15.   - Project/Import
  16.   - Record/Copy
  17.   - Record/CD player (is under development)
  18.   - File/Create/#?
  19.   - File/Save/#?
  20.   - File/Manager (a little bit)
  21.   - Macros/#?
  22. All other functions are FULLY operable!

  24. This beta release lacks an installer too.

  27. The final release of MMIII V3.00 will include:
  28.   - documentation (maybe only a printed edition which
  29.     you may order while registering?)
  30.   - online help in english and german
  31.   - installer script in english and german
  32.   - less bugs (are there any?)

  37. MusicManIII V3.00 is SHAREWARE. So what you got here is only
  38. a limited DEMO. If you want to know what limitations there
  39. are you'd better start MusicManIII and select "Project/About/
  40. Distribution" because it depends on the installed key-file.
  41. If you want to register yourself as an user of MMIII I ask
  42. you to wait until the final 3.00 release is available (I
  43. suggest you use the time in between to check if it satisfies
  44. your needs). Prices etc. will be available by then.

  48. Some notes on usage
  49. ===================

  52.   I think (and hope) that mostly MusicManIII is self-explai-
  53.   ning. The only important thing is that if you want to add
  54.   a new record by selecting "Record/Create" you have to take
  55.   care of following things:
  56.     After selecting this item the "Interpreter:" entryfield
  57.     is active. Press TAB or CursorDown to jump to the next
  58.     entryfield. Or press Shift+TAB or CursorUp to jump to
  59.     the previous entryfield. When you've you data in the
  60.     entryfields press RETURN (or ESC is you want to lose
  61.     changes made to the current entryfield) to switch to the
  62.     songs entryfields (the big ListView-Gadget). Here you
  63.     are able to add songs if you press TAB to get to the
  64.     next song line. Press RETURN to leave the current song
  65.     line and to NOT add songs anymore. Leaving a song line
  66.     means that you edited the song, the length and the bpm
  67.     (this depends on you prefs because you can disable
  68.     entering of length and bpm).
  69.     Please note that songs will always be added if you leave
  70.     the last song line with the TAB-key!

  72.   Btw: the songs ListView-Gadget contains 5 columns (left to
  73.   right):
  74.     - Number
  75.       The number of the songs. Holds colour for marking too.
  76.     - Song name
  77.     - Song length
  78.       or Counter in MC mode, depending on your prefs.
  79.     - BPM (Beats per minute)
  80.     - Special field
  81.       anything you want. Not supported yet!!!

  86. because one can only say it's rubbish if (s)he told the
  87. author what (s)he disliked and the author didn't care for that.
